Online sessions let you take part in any of the six Concord Mediation services from anywhere in Ireland, by secure video call. It is the same confidential, structured process as meeting in person, and it can suit people who are in different counties, have busy schedules, or find it easier to talk from somewhere they feel comfortable.
Mediate from Cork, Donegal or Dublin without taking a day off to travel.
Each person joins from their own home or office, which some people find calmer than sitting across a table.
Sessions can fit around work and other commitments, without anyone travelling to a venue.
The Agreement to Mediate, confidentiality and the written outcome are exactly the same as in person.
Online sessions are available for all six services: community, workplace, commercial, medical & clinical, landlord & tenant and family relationship mediation. You can also combine online and in-person sessions in Dublin, Kildare and the Midlands.
I meet each person individually first.
Signed before joint sessions begin.
If people prefer not to see each other, I can place each person in a separate private room within the call and move between them.
If agreement is reached, it is sent to everyone involved to review, with independent legal advice where appropriate.
Mediation is not legal advice. I do not advise any party on their legal position.
You do not need to download anything complicated. I send a link before each session and am happy to do a short test call with you beforehand.
If you feel intimidated or unsafe, or are worried that someone else is present on the other side of a call, please tell me privately. See your safety in mediation.
Online mediation can suit many people and many kinds of dispute, but not every situation. It may not be the best fit if someone has limited access to a private space or a device, has difficulty with technology, or would find it hard to speak freely at home. We can talk this through on the free call, and some people combine online and in-person sessions.
The process is the same: the same steps, the same confidentiality and the same Agreement to Mediate. Many people find it easier to talk from their own space, and if online does not suit you we can discuss meeting in person.
Yes. Some people meet me in person in Dublin, Kildare or the Midlands for their individual meeting and mediate together online, or the other way round.
Yes. The same rules apply under the Mediation Act 2017, and sessions are not recorded.
Yes. I mediate online with people anywhere in Ireland, and with parties who live in different counties.
The same as in-person mediation. Fees are explained in our first conversation and confirmed in writing before mediation begins.
There is no obligation. Your first call is free, private and entirely at your pace.
